Harmoni are the leading independent provider of Primary Care Services. We provide services for urgent and unscheduled care, and increasingly provide primary medical services on a 24 x 7 basis. Traditionally Harmoni has provided Out of Hours Services and now provide this service to over 5 million patients across the UK. The focus for Harmoni is to deliver high quality and patient friendly services. We have used Lean Methodology to achieve clinically led service improvement, consistent patient outcomes and Value for Money.
As a result of the recent Darzi review and the financial pressures on the NHS, many PCTs are looking at ways of managing the demand on secondary care.
Harmoni is establishing local partnerships with GPs to deliver services that will give patients more choice and be delivered closer to home. In particular we are working with local GPs to bid for GP led Health centres and Polyclinics.
The design of these centres will use innovative technology, allow
patients 24 x 7 telephone access, walk in access for
12 hours a day, but will take into account the
local needs of the population
and also bring national
best practice to
localities.
